World of Warcraft is one of the most successful video game titles of all time and has amassed a huge online following with the franchise even branching out to create a film. However, the game itself isn’t for the faint-hearted as it comes with a variety of challenges and quests to ensure that your character is strong enough to complete the quests that have been laid out for you. This is why guides are necessary as some players don’t feel the need to run around looking for answers to the wrong questions.

Once you’ve reached ‘The Final Pieces’ (a quest within the game), the ultimate goal is to level up your Legendary Armor. But there are questions, such as where do Memories drop, what is a Rune Vessel, and how do you get a Missive? All of these will be answered in the guide below, as this variation of the game has provided very few explanations on the new crafting mechanics, and even seasoned WoW players are having a hard time keeping up with the names of the new items that were introduced and with the new quest.

Understanding where particular items are and which ones to collect are fundamental to your overall success in the quest and to unlocking the Legendary Armor along with using Missives and Rune Vessels. Of course, wow classic gold is also important. So you should get them as much as possible.

The Final Pieces

To unlock the Legendary Armor, your goal is to aid the Runecarver in Torghast, but you’ll need to find him first. This is done as you go about the campaign of the Covenant that you’ve chosen and once you’ve done a few side-quests for him, he’ll offer to help you by giving you The Final Pieces quest, which will help you with your crafting journey.

Completing the Final Pieces is done by collecting a restored Runecarver Memory, a Rune Vessel, and two Missives that are different from one another. While these are items that we’ve never heard of before, we can assure you that they’re less complicated than they sound. A Rune Vessel is the foundation gear that’s needed to craft a Legendary item, a Restored Runecarver Memory is the recipe that will allow you to craft the said item, and the Missives will provide your item with the necessary secondary stats.

Restoring a Runecarver Memory

Defeating bosses, exploring dungeons, and completing quests and raids will provide you with Memories. These important items are essentially the recipes that will equip your Legendary Armor with a unique power. 16 varieties of Memories can be found by each character, 8 of them are general, with 4 being specific to a particular class, and the remaining 4 are specific to a type of specialization. Memories that are gained once The Final Pieces has been completed will need to be brought back to the Runecarver to be learned.

Your Adventure Guide will be a tremendous help, as this will provide you with the location of each Memory. Accessing your Adventure Guide is simple, as all you need to do is click the icon on the bottom right of the screen. Proceed to the tab labeled as ‘Professions’ and this will allow you to view all of the Memories. If you’d like to check what their power is, where they are, or what gear slot it can be used for, all you need to do is hover your cursor over them. The last piece of information is pivotal to procuring a Rune Vessel that corresponds.

Acquiring Different Missives

There are two ways to acquire the Missives that you need to meet the quest requirements, the first is to craft them yourself by learning the Shadowlands Inscription, the second is to buy them at the auction. Crafting them yourself means that you’ll need to find the Scribes in Oribos, and if you go to the auction, all you’ll need to do is type ‘Missives’ into the search bar.

Keep in mind that the Missives that are needed to complete the quest are going to be kept, so put some thought into the secondary stats that you’d want for your character. Below you’ll find the Missives that you can choose from:

· Missive of Versatility

· Missive of Haste

· Missive of Critical Strike

· Missive of Mastery

NOTE: There have been reports of a glitch that prevents the quest from identifying the Missives in your possession. If this happens to you, sell the Missives at the auction for a high price, then cancel or mail them to an alternate character and get them back.

Rune Vessels

A Rune Vessel is a fundamental item that’s used to create a Legendary item. The Rune Vessel that’s the best fit for your character depends on the armor that it’s wearing. All sets of armor are provided with a different piece for each body part and are made by their crafting profession. Knowing the name of your armor set is necessary to purchase the correct Rune Vessel, below is the list of all sets:

· Back: Grim-veiled. Made by Tailors.

· Rings & Necklaces: Shadowghast. Made by Jewel Crafters.

· Cloth Armor: Grim-veiled. Made by Tailors.

· Mail armor: Boneshatter. Made by Leatherworkers.

· Leather armor: Umbrahide. Made by Leatherworkers.

· Plate armor: Shadowghast. Made by Blacksmiths.

Acquiring Rune Vessels

Rune Vessels can be acquired by crafting them yourself, asking a guild member to craft one for you, or you can use an alternate character to do it. Shadowlands crafting recipes need to be learned from the trainers in Oribos if you wish to craft them yourself. If the aforementioned options aren’t available, then you can buy one at the Auction House. Prices will vary depending on the server and the more players on the servers means that you’ll be exposed to more competitive prices.

Last-Minute Tips

Keep in mind that not all Runecarver Memories can be used on each item slot, the rule of thumb is to decide on a Memory before finding a Rune Vessel to match it. You’ll also need Soul Ash to utilize Rune Vessels that are highly ranked. It’s best to start with the lowest level and upgrade instead of buying a high-level item.
